A message from our Executive Director

As I look back on the past year, I remember that we have many friends and volunteers with different beliefs and welcome those always!

I want to thank all of our volunteers, board members, company sponsors, and donors of all kinds for the support we received in 2007!

Every non-profit will tell you that “We could not have done it without you” which may sound worn, but believe me, especially with an organization like ours that accepts no government funding and depends on individual donors, organizations, churches, and companies to fulfill it’s mission, we very truly “Could not do it without you!”

If you can open your hearts with a donation, it would truly help our mission in the Allegheny Valley.

Mission – what are we doing here? This year alone:

we housed a blended (multi-generational, brothers, sisters, siblings) family of 9 in an renovated Victorian house in New Kensington

a family of three who were living in their car three years ago and now are homeowners in Arnold working at full time jobs and ready to help more people in their situation!!
and....

a family of three (with one on the way!) in a house in Creighton which will replace the overcrowded apartment they were living in which had mold growing that was making everyone sick, especially this pregnant Mom and four year old son.
and...

we built half a house – we’ll finish in January/February – for a young couple that can barely turn around in the only apartment they can afford in Natrona to a house in Natrona that will be the first of many that will turn that truly run down neighborhood into what we hope will be a model for the area on how to work in a depressed area with a grass roots group – Natrona Comes Together – and really make a difference!

Your help is Needed, Wanted and Appreciated!

A Very Happy New Year to all of you!
